How many angels? Who is the angel who becomes their leader? And the last who the angels who govern world affairs?
The angels are creatures of God Almighty who dedicated himself only to worship and obey him. They are created from nur or light (mala'ikah min nur khuliqatil).
To answer the question about the angels, we will refer to one of the books that are written by Jalaluddin As-Suyuti a titled Al-Haba'ik fi Akhabaril Mala'ik, a book which contains various history about Angel.
The number of angels who are definitely very much and exceed the number of humans. No one knows the exact number except Allah. The number of angels who overwhelmingly depicted in a history that there is not an inch of any place in the sky unless there was an Angel. There is of those who prostrate and standing up to the day of resurrection.
"Grey Sheik has written history contained in the book of Syu'abul the faith of Ibn Mas'ud RA. He said, ' there's not an inch of the place in the sky except except on it there's an Angel, some are prostrate and there standing until doomsday, "(see Jalaluddin As-Suyuti, Al-Haba'ik fi Akhbaril Mala'ik, Beirut: Al-Pole, Darul Ilmiyyah, cet 1, 1405 H/ 1985 M, p. 11).
While the leader or commander in Chief was the Angel Gabriel. It is based on the history stated that Gabriel is the priest or Supreme Leader of the inhabitants of the heavens (imamu ahlis same ').
That is, the "Grey Sheik has been narrated from Musa Ibn Abi Aisha. He said, ' was up to me, history States that the Angel Gabriel is a leader or priest of the inhabitants of the sky, ' "(see Jalaluddin As-Suyuti, Al-Haba'ik fi Akhbaril Mala'ik, page 19).
Next about the response to the last question is about the angels who manage the Affairs of the world. There are at least four leader angel who pitch in to organize the Affairs of the world. They are Gabriel, Michael, the Angel Israfel, and speak of the lives. Such as recorded in history below.
That is, "Ibn Abi Hatim on Grey and Sheik have been narrated in Al-' Uzhmah and Al-Bayhaqi in Al-Syu'abul of Ibn Sabith Faith. He said, there are four angels in charge of regulating the Affairs of the world; Gabriel, Michael, and death angel Israfel. Gabriel is the owner of the army and the wind. Michael is the owner of rain and vegetation. The Angel of death was assigned to revoke lives. Whereas communicators Israfel is among them, "(see Jalaluddin As-Suyuti, Al-Haba'ik fi Akhbaril Mala'ik, page 16).
